Cost of sending a C$ for checkup

I put this on the following C$ message also. Don't mean to wear it out but, I recently purchased a C$ and like it. I was thinking of sending it back to Fisher just to be checked out before they may quit making repairs to the C$. Anyone have any thoughts as to how much it may cost?.....Thanks....D.

Well if its working good with no issues then there isn't anything they can do to it but charge you some money and cost you to ship it to them. If I remember right they're isn't anything to adjust inside the C$, so be kind to it, don't long term store batteries in it and it should serve you well for years.

Thanks Mark. That is essentially what Fisher said. They have no parts for the housing or the board. They do however have 8 and 10 inch coils if I understood him correctly. He, at Fisher also gave me some more interesting information. This maybe old news for all that sees, but to date your machine----------5 digits in the bar code means the machine is range of 20yrs old and 8 digits means a 10yr. old range......Thanks. Keep me in mind on that small coil for the C$.

`But if you have a break down on your machine there are a few companies that repair after warranty detectors , but you have to find them , I don't know if they were using EPROMs on there units when they built the Coin$trike , like the other guys here on the site I am enjoying my Coin$trike a lot it is a good detector mine functions really well in mineralized ground , that was suprising !

You can figure $ 100 bill besides shipping, what gets me that even if they have the parts you need like a " iron toggle switch" they will not sell it to you,but they will put the part in for you for $$$:nopity:
