Did anyone notice the prices on the F75 went up.... I got mine from Kellyco this morning ( the combo package with three coils) for $1,149 and now its $1,499....

It looks like thy jacked the price of the T2 also .
I checked a few sites and thy have not change prices yet .
If thy do i guess i will be keeping my old F 75 for some time HH Mike

Supply and demand sets pricing.
The T2 and F75 are being sold for well over $2k in the Middle East, Africa and European countries (more for the LTD's) and that demand has sucked and is sucking the pipeline dry as we speak in every other country around the world -that's one of the reasons the LTD is virtually gone long before 2010 and will be difficult to get along with the non-LTD F75 and T2.

The T2 and F75 are now the premier gold prospecting and general purpose detectors throughout the world and FTP is now being recognised as the leader in technology throughout the world with many international customers and users preferring FTP over any other detector including the ML GP4500 for finding gold nuggets. The ML GP is also sold out and selling far above retail and difficult to purchase anywhere.

Maybe the T2s and F75s will start selling at or over MSRP domestically and on ebay because many international customers have realized the advantages of FTP products over ML even the ML stuff that cost over $4k and are being manufactured in China or Malaysia.

Ok i think i get it .Kind of like a barrel of oil, so if you cut back production some more thy might sell for 3K a pop.

I've heard from fellow club members that most field hunters in Great Britain have left the Goldmaxx behind and went with the F75 - It is my understanding it's the visual TID and the ergonomics that did it. It will be interesting to see how the Deus competes.

Well they may blow off the shelves at $1399, but they won't get it from me. In pretty much a worldwide recession, FT is putting the thumb screws to their customers. A company that does that loses my business forever, and I've owned a dozen Fishers. What a joke. The Xterra 705, a pretty darn good detector, can be had for half the price of the LTD.

I agree with what you said, they are taking advantage of the people, demand or no demand that really sucks. I also have a XT705 and it's an excellent machine. While the F70 may go a little deeper in the SL mode than the 705, there are areas where the 705 excels over the F70, that is why I have both. I really like both machines, it'll be a very long time before I buy another machine. HH

The F75 MSRP always has been $1199
The F75LTD which comes with and additinal $160 coil, camo and new modes is MSRP $1399 always has been.

Please explain how this is putting the "thumbscrews" to customers?

We have not changed our prices and sell them to the dealers and distributors for the same price we always have. High demand and backorders has caused some dealers to raise discounted pricing to the MSRP -thats capitolism.

The Xtera 705 which isnt in the same class as the F75 is MSRP $950 It compares to the F70 which is MSRP $799 or the T2 for MSRP $999

The SE is MSRP $1495 and the Etrack is MSRP $1895 ALL WITH ONE COIL.

Some dealers discount detectors to try and create sales-some detectors are in such high demand some dealers have chosen not to use a discount as a sales tool because they dont need help selling them. If somone wants to buy one at full retail they can otherwise they can try and find a dealer willing to discount them. MSRP stands for Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price.

High demand means we increase production not draw it back.
We sell to dealers and distributors at the same price always and try and meet demand which is sometimes difficult to do if it is a very popular product. The "street" price is determined by the consumer and what the market will bear. Right now a demand that is higher than supply drives the price up. If there is a large supply and little demand discounting ensues and the price drops.

You cant view our data related to worldwide regional sales by unit by month by year regarding market share in the industry.

If you want to do your own legwork you can do this to try and help you confirm;

Call all the ML distributors and dealers around the world and ask them why many are now wanting to become distributors for FTP and specifically Tek and Fisher.....these guys are quickly becoming our friends and customers and they are reporting the T2 and F75 are superior and in higher demand than ML's in many ways and in many areas.

Call all the FTP distributors and dealers around the world and ask them how sales are in their country or region compared to the competition.

Also for fun call the XP, Garrett , Whites, and Tesoro international distributors - many of these guys are also our customers and friends, many international distributors carry more than one brand and if you can get the right guy on the phone you could get some good information.

Bottom line always comes back to market share and sales numbers which are both growing at a wonderful rate for FTP.

What is the MSRP and MAP of Minelab's E-Trac?

What is the MSRP and MAP of White's V3?

I think FT is getting a bum rap here.

Like Mike Scott says, FT is not the one raising the prices.

If the supply is not meeting demand with the LTD's, my guess is FT played it conservative on how many they produced and underestimated how popular they would be.

If someone wants to buy a LTD and can't find one priced at the MAP from one of our fine sponsors, email me for info on a major dealer offering a very good deal on them.
