F19 bust-a-coin

I've been going back to that old school yard a few times lately and was coming empty handed when it comes to good finds. Tons of clad and tons of trash on top of the good stuff. I was just about to quit on the place and my last hunt made me change my mind. I was about to call it a day with a bag full of clad and an unexpected penny from Barbados when out comes a 1945 silver quarter (a solid 88 on the F19). 3 feet to the left I find a 1923 nickel and about 3 feet to the left of that I get what I initially thought was a large cent. The diameter is the same and it sure looks like copper but I have absolutely no idea what it is. The coin is entirely smooth on one side and there is a stylized seated stick figure on the other. No other detail that I can make out. They were all found at about 5 inches. There is a badly damaged 194? wheat penny in the lot as well. These are kind of rare around here. Yesterday I went back for a few hours and along with the varied shallow clad coins I found a beautiful belt buckle at a measured 8 inches. I had to work to get this one out in one piece. I was surprised and delighted that the middle pin was intact. Judging from the heavy rust and pitting on it I gather it must be old. I also found a rusty cast iron ??? Not sure what it is. Some kind of carriage implement for horses ? Before this place was a school, it was farmland (late 1800's)

Of the pieces of jewelry, only the snake pendant is .925 silver. The ugly bird cranium seems to be plated pewter or something and the tiny "P" pendant has the inscription Pura Vida Bracelets on the back.

I used the Tiger coil on my F19 for all these finds. Volume at 10, v-break at 60 and I wasn't digging anything below that. I'm going back for sure but the good finds seem to be getting scarce.

If somebody knows anything about the stick figure coin/token, I'd appreciate the help. If somebody knows how old the belt buckle could be, I'd sure like to have an idea. Thanks.

Nice pile of goodies there. I've seen that stick figure coin somewhere. Don't recall if I dug one sometime or on another post. Anyway, it looks familiar. Good hunting! HH jim tn

That's a good metal hunting day Mike. Anytime you come home with some silver it falls into what I call a bonus day.

It looks kind of familiar to me also but I can't recall where I have seen one before. Strange design for sure. It looks modern yet the depth I have found it and overall condition makes it appear old. I'll post it on the "whatzit" forum and see if somebody knows something.

Silver is always nice but anything old and rich in history makes my day.

Thanks guys.

Still no clue as to what it is. It makes it more interesting. I'll probably be disappointed when I find out.

Or maybe not.

I found these as well at the same place. No silver this time but lots of clad as usual.

I thought the old pocket knife was pretty cool. It was found at about 7 inches. The sides seem to be made of oxidized bronze. I can still see 2 blades inside the slots but the rust has done lots of damage to what is left of them.
