Congrats. I'm headed out with mine in the morning. Nothing beats a Nautilus.
Have fun and good luck with your new machine.

Hope you plan to dig deep with that 15 inch coil. Great relic hunting setup.

Good luck with your new machine. Many old Nautilus users have left our brand for the lighter bell and whistle machines. I have used/owned many other top brand units but I've never left Nautilus because as we all know......they are the deepest seaching machine period. Marketing folks can really sway the sheep. Enjoy your machine, there are more relics being left in the ground from the "switchers"

I Agree over the Years I try many other machines for Relic Hunting and wasted lots hard earn cash. I allways return to Nautilus. Im still glad that the folks make this great hand made machines does market them to much. The small "Hardcore Relic Hunters": that use them will finds more relic others miss!!!! Im talk about deep relics in feet not inches!!!!! Here great bottle I found in pick clean camp in Stafford Co. in botton hut site with others new dig holes around same area missed by other hunters!!!. Chuck In Va

Chuck and Nick1...I'm in Northern VA and would love to pick your brains on the Nautilus. I picked one up at a thrift store up here last week. It's a DMC II and I would just like to get a better idea of how to set it up properly.

well i personally dont have experience with the ii, but after looking at the setup on a few pictures it seems pretty similar to the iib. all its missing is the voltage output knob and the search loop balance switch(and r c tuners). those are one of the things that throw some people off with these units. pretty much with your machine you want to set up your disc to what you want to ignore on that side(i never took mine above 15). i like to have the discrimination sensitivity set up high and the all metal set at about 3. this way the machine will still pick up all metals, but it will minimize the depth that you are getting from the all metal channel. this is good so whenn you get a nice deep target that isnt iron, you just hear the beep of the disc side. if you hear just the beep with your machine set up like this then you will want to dig the target for sure.

i really just realized how long this is getting, so im gonna cut myself off lol. if you have any specific questions(i know i didnt cover the threshold or groud balance, but i figured if you bought a nautilus then you would at least know the basics already), feel free to shoot me a pm.
