Alway's wanted to try a DMC I, aka ''TRAIN WHISTLE '' Detector. Lets us know how you like the Harmonic tones.

I've owmed a dmc 1 for several years. It seems extremely unstable. Could probably use coils. I was thinking about selling it. What would you guys do if you owned one?

What is the difference between the DMC 1 and DMC-IIB?

The DMC is a TR detector and the IIB is a VLF. It also has a very unique train whistle type tone when it hits a conductive target.

The DMC-1B has VLF written on the front panel and has ground balance control. The difference must be elsewhere.

I think a DMC IB is different then a DMC I, But I'm not for sure though? Maybe someone with more experience can chime in?

I think the 1 B may have had a DMC 2 or 2b coil.N/T

I am starting to think the difference between the IB & 2B is the 1B is the same except it doesn't have the Power control.

Not sure about a DMC1B but my DMC1 says Nautilus VLF on the top of the control case, not TR.

Filternozzle,

I recently noticed that you are well schooled on the NEXUS Standard MP. It was on a UK Forum, but I am located in Alexandria and am trying to figure this machine out. I am having trouble making this thing stable. Need Help with it.

I appreciate it,

Brett
