Try carbon fibre.

A lot of people use the Whites TDI upper rod and middle rod. I may mode mine as my arm still cramps from Fall. I must Be getting Old as could swing my first IIBa all day long on a S-ROD and that was the older thicker style coil which was heavier. I looked at the S-ROD and Compared it to my CZ-3D S-ROD and the CZ grip is almost straight up and down were as The Nauty S-ROD is more foreward like a inch or so. I'm going to take box off rod and Bend the grip more straight like the CZ rod as I can swing it all day long. If that doesn't help will go to Whites Rod as have brackets. I always liked S-ROD so Going to try and make it work as more compact also. P.S Minelab did same thing with the Etrac as to make it easier to swing then Explorer. They moved grip back at top like 15 degrees or so.
