And just go hunt? Should I turn on any other features??

I found an older spot but the nickles/coins are like 6-7 inches(Buffs and IH's.....so far)

I like VCO and Tone ID turned on using the factory coin/jewelry program

Yeah, I like the VCO, that I remember. Why wouldn't tone ID be on in the factory program, that's ood I think.

Thanks!

I like the jewelry/beach program, with VCO on and sometimes mixed mode, if you can stand the sounds at a trashy site, it will pick out the good stuff with a high tone.

Setting it on coins or jewelry would not be advisable, to much discrimination. You could miss certain old coins. I like to accept from +95 all the way down to -40.

Some people can't handle the tone id, i think its one of the best features on the machine, you can hunt with a buzz or

on automatic pilot if you know what i mean, no constant checking your vdi #'s. Your gain is your main depth control on this machine.

It won't get any prizes for depth, around 7" in discriminate, but it will amaze you in the trash if you know how to use it.

I love mine. Good luck brother.
