I usually run the coin and jewelry program and have been reading a lot about faint signals. I believe that is from the modulation which is normally on in the preset program?
My question is, I have never heard these faint signals, all coins sound excatly the same if they are on top of the ground or six inches deep, am I missing something?
Thanks for the help.

I never really understood modulation, I guess it's always on in my custom programs. I heard with it off, you can hear the deeper coins a little better, but I think that comes with experience. If you can hear a good beep from a coin a 6", I would leave things alone!! 6 inches is a fairly deep coin, at least here in NH. Most of my coins from the early 1800's on were found from 3-5". I even found a Liberty nickel at 1" (1887)...go figure. (?)

Modulation off will make all targets sound the same.
