Is a "V" rated probe in the offing or is the DFX probe going to be it. Seems like maybe some tweaking might make it where you don't have any overload problems... but maybe there aren't really any problems anyway. The sticky post seems to say that there may be a problem sometimes but not really... not usually. I haven't seen any post griping about it, laff... so I assume it works well enough.

edit: I just re-read and posted in the "sticky" post about compatability but I thought i'd say this here too. If the problem is in the switch, do you think that "true bypass" as in some high end guitar effects pedals might resolve the problem?

I love the status LED idea. How many of us have gone back to hunting with the probe still switched on??? Duhhh!

The LED light is not an option as it will require an extra battery to run it. You can not run it from the detector power source as it could change detector performance from the extra power drain. Also, LED lights are extremely hard to see in sunny (high light) conditions. As long as a switch is used the overload will still occur in this situation from the information we have from testing. As has been stated in the compatibility statement, it is a minor concern as those extreme settings cannot be used in most conditions with TX Boost on. Thank you for the input though.
