I am still having a problem with the sights on my Taurus. I know I can shave a little off the front sight, but then the two rear dots and dot on front sight won't line up. With my eye sight , that really helps with sight alignment . I looked into getting an adjustable rear sight. Reading the pro's and con's not sure if that is the way I want to go. I am going to black out the front sight and put another dot a bit lower and see what happens .

You need help.:rofl::rofl:N/T

I have a PT 1911 45auto that shoots low like yours also.Taurus doesn't sell an adj.(elevation) sight for this gun,just adj. windage.I only run 50 rounds thru it and it,for some reason seems to be getting better. It first started shooting about 12" low aqnd 3-4 inchs to the right.I was told that after approx. 50-100 rounds that the barrel would "settle in".My point of aim ...I put my target on top of the front sight and the front sight level with the top of the rear sight (the top of the front is straight across with the rear).Other than shaving some off the front sight...You can file some off each side of the dove tail of the rear sighr thus raising it it the groove when you tighten the set screw. There's nothing more agrevating to sight in than a gun without fully adjustable sights!!!!

I hold center of target at 20 yards, so you can see how low it shoots. I bought this to compete on the Marine Corps League pistol team. Not going to happen if I don't get this problem taken care of.N/T
