Hi I'm from Sydney, Australia. I've been detecting for a little over 7 months now & recently moved up from a BH Sharp Shooter 2 to a Minelab 705. I coin shoot & both machines (still have the Sharp Shooter 2) have paid for themselves from the $1 & $2 coins I've found. I mainly hunt playing fields & parks right now, but hope to find time to get to the gold fields in near future.

Happy Hunting!

Hello! I just joined the site! I live in Bremerton Washington across the water (west) of Seattle. I just started up metal detecting and have hit a few beaches and some parks. Mostly found a few bucks.. but nothing spectacular. I have a cheap bounty hunter and have been looking to trade for a nicer machine. I had a deal going for a minelab but the dude traded with someone else after he and I agreed.. So the first bad taste in my mouth but I'm not letting it stop me. I would like to get something I can take underwater as well..

Would like to find people in my area, I know there is a club but I missed the last meeting.

I'm also curious. Does anyone else carry a firearm while hunting? While I was on the beach I attracted a lot of attention, all good.. But a lot of lookie loos and questions.. Makes me nervous if people are thinking I'm finding gold and diamond rings.. I always down play my finds, well, when its just a few clad coins theres nothing special anyway, but if I do find some gold I'm gonna down play it.

Hi all.
I'm detecting from my base on the South coast of England, mainly on beaches with an E-trac, x terror 705 and a C-Scope 1220xd. I do venture onto land, but only when the beaches are unproductive.
Hope you're all enjoying yourselves as much as me. Best of luck to you all, but not to those who detect on my local beaches.

G'day, I'm from Cairns, Far north Queensland, Australia.
Will be hunting in mainly old abandoned gold fields around the tropics as well as around the Palmer river and the gulf of carpentaria. As well as local beaches and parks.
