Over 3000 Coins With The 705!

I've had my 705 for a month or so over 2 years. Last night I topped the 3000 coin mark. 3006 to be exact. If you would have asked me back when I bought it if I thought I would have found that many coins by now, I would have never guessed that high. I would had figured in the 300-500 range.

I'll admit that a few times I ran across a sand pile that had the balance of coins left from a kids party but that's only been 2 or 3 times and although one of those netted just over 100 coins, the other two were pretty minimal.

I hope everyone else has had at least the good luck that I've had so far. I could not be happier with this detector.

I'm sure there are probably many people on here that have done much better than I have. I just remember that I was hoping that I would find SOMETHING when I first bought it.

Congrats on your coin total. I also have been MD'ing for a little over a year and have accumulated $430, some nice silver and old coins & jewelry with my 705!

I would say that I've used the HF 10.5" DD coil the most. The 6" HF coil is my #2 coil. I will say that lately I've been using the MF DD. I didn't like that coil very much but then I figured out that it's a good coil but the response time is just slower than the HF coil. Since I've slowed down with it, it's started to prove itself.

You must be finding a lot of higher denomination coins or have way over 3000 because I'm just rounding $200 face value and have a decent mix of all coins.

Congrats on hitting the 3000 coin mark. Funny thing about finding coins..... I've been detecting for 40 years now. And I can still remember digging my first coin. It only gets better! Nice job! HH Randy

Not at all. It might be just a slight bit easier to pinpoint with the HF than it is with the MF coil.
