I use the 10.5 DD 7.5 coil and I pretty much only hunt for old coins, but I NEVER pass up a clad Quarter, lol

A lower frequency will penetrate the ground deeper, and will hit on high conductors harder. It's why so many XT705 users would kill for a 3kHz DD.

My 7.5 DD and 3kHz CC get pretty much even time. I can't remember the last time that I used the 10½" HF DD.

I only use the 3 kHZ. It has been my favorite for a long time. I have 3 other coils for the X-70 and they are just dust collectors. No, none are for sale.

It's 4½" bigger, so it will run some deeper than the 10½" MF DD, but at the cost of separation. I've not had a WOT to try side-by-side against the 3kHz, but I'd bet that it's not muchof an advantage depthwise.

Each has it's place, which is part of what makes the XT such a versitile and successful machine.

15"wot, 9" 3khz, 10' 7.5khz, 7.5wotdd, all others? Im getting better with stock coil (haveing fun except for heat) but was going to upgrade with a 10"MFDD for 505 before the weather gets a little better. I want to hit some old fair grounds and corn fields, old parks, etc. Is the10.MF still best bet...............? East Ia.

The 10" DD 7.5 khz freq. is a good, deep coil. The 3 khz is also. Really depends on your soil mineralization which would be a better choice.
