saw it at a local pawnshop they want 219 for it but i know their coding and see they only paid "unknown pawner" $105 for it it has the stock 7.5k coil if thats what they come w/ i almost want to buy it for the coil alone since i have the 10.5 DD HF coil on my xterra705 and then id have another coil and spare machine that i could let a freind use while i MD the screen has a decent amount of wear to it whats a fair price to pay for this?

I would not give more than $175 for it. I've seen 305's go for $225 to $250 and they have more features on them.......

i think i can low ball then around 140 would be worth it just for the diff freq of coil if the stock is MF?

Its a great machine at 140...Would never sell mine,been offered 200 by a friend.....and like you said at that price its worth the coil,that's why i got the 705 gold package..Good Luck HH bob.oz

The X30 operates only in the 7.5 kHz (MF) frequency...so you could use the 9" MF CC on your 705 but you cannot use the 10.5 HF on the X30.

The X-Terra series is great because of different operating frequencies and interchangeable coils...but the X30 is the one X-Terra that does not offer different frequencies.

Personally, I wouldn't go more than $150 cash if I were looking for a good used X30 for a friend to use. You can get a used 305 with stock coil for the 225-275 range. Some of the sponsoring dealers here on this forum may have some good used 305's in stock for sale...just ask them!

If you decide to offer on the x30, just lay out the facts to 'em and start out at 125 or 130 if it is in good working condition ... be prepared to walk out if they don't want your cash offer.

Yea im prepared to walk out on em the screen looked almost cracked and ofcourse the batteries were dead so i really couldnt check it im going to tell them its manufactured on 05-06 its damaged and i know there coding for how much they have invested in it im going to offer them the 20-35 bucks in profit they can make off my or they can hope for a sucker to come by with 200$ laying around "lol how often can a sucker even save that amount" and ill tell them it been replaced by a nicer enhanced model just a couple years ago.

Sure! But the 6" MF isn't a DD....it's concentric.
The frequency is what's important. The size and search pattern do not matter.

Sure! But the 6" MF isn't a DD....it's concentric.
The frequency is what's important. The size and search pattern do not matter.

awesome thanks i have bill jacksons not too far and kellyco down the interstate im going to get the WOT graanted i get the the xt30 for cheap and the coil impresses me.
