Wilson RC 2 VS. 4 ?

I Was wondering about Wilson RC 2 VS 4.
Some say the boost switch on the 4 makes it deeper then the 2? But I also heard the switch just lowered the Disc.when hunting above iron so it seemed like you got more depth? Any have experience with both if so any major difference? Thanks.

The Wilson RC 4 is definitely better than the 2.....not sure about the boost switch lowering the disc to just above iron!!??...Also the 4 does not have the problem of a shut down circuit when encountering loud junk targets!! I like the RC4 over the Coin Select but that preference is because of the metal design of the RC series....the Coin Select has more of a plastic feeling.....now in performance they are about the same! Now the 4 has the 7 inch coil while the CS has the 9 inch coil....the CS because of the larger coil one can cover more ground faster!!

Sorry I meant to say below iron. I have heard about the circuit shut down,When this happens does it reset itself or do you have to turn it on/off to reset it?
Also would you say depth on any of the RC Detectors same or better then the Fisher 1266 as I know you and maybe others have both? Thanks.

.........The problem with the circuit shut down is that not every target causes it to do that....so you can be swinging and realize that targets are not being detected! I had a shoe that i glued a nickel on the tip...so it was easy to just wave the coil over the nickel... if the nickel was detected then everything was fine. If the nickel was not detected....then I would shut off the detector and turn it back on that would solve this problem! Another solution was to go into the all-metal mode and detect the nickel and then everything was fine too! The depth is very good.....I did not have my 1266 at the time that I had my RC2 so could not compare!!

I have never had the issue with circuit shut down with my RCll that I know of. I have hunted for some years now with a copper penny glued to the top of my right boot and a square pull tab on the left boot. When you hunt with a silent machine you have to check every so often when you hear nothing for a while.

I have a Fisher 1265 and I believe it is slightly deeper because it hits constant on my 10" token in my test garden while the Wilson does not hit every pass over it.
