OLD Pinpointer That Will Not Die

This post is just for the fun of it. I think pinpointers normally get more abuse than their big brothers. I bought one pinpointer for over $100.00, only to have an issue with batteries fitting properly and not making contact. I have bought and lost others as well----but the first pinpointer I ever bought is still with me. It is too long, too wide, too clumsy. It is trying to fall apart, so duct tape is now in use on the battery door. I don't even know when I bought it, but I just have to give this unit a thumbs-up!

That's an oldie for sure, Compass had a good rep. Reminds me of the pocket fisherman:smile:

What on earth did you need a pin pointer for with an older compass? Most older machines (Fisher) included, pin pointed exact center of the coil. I never needed an extra pin pointer till I got my Minelab Etrac. But, even then I had no problems, just when trying to locate target 7" or deeper AFTER I opened the hole......NGE
