I went out the first of the week with the omega and found a few interesting items one I still haven't found out what it is.
The button on the back says CITY BUTTON WORKS - NEW YORK and the search I did came up with this:
(City Button Works were button manufacturers from 1875 through 1955 in New York and New Jersey they were in New York and moved to New Jersey in 1923 until they sold out in 1955. This particular button is from City Works New York and therefore was probably made before 1923. Military buttons especially from WWI made by this company are about the only buttons on which their name appears as seen in the Collectors Encyclopedia of Buttons, making these buttons quite rare. It has a wire loop shank backing.)

Also I found some kind of hook, a doorknob in 2nd pic, and the round object I have no idea it's heavy for it's size it looks and has the same design on both sides and it's not exactly flat it's kinda dome shaped on both sides.
All but the first pic is after I tumbled them (and man them tumblers is well worth their price I wouldn't be without one in this hobby) and it really cleaned them up looks like some could be copper and brass not really sure I'm mostly a clad finder, lol
This is the same place I found the old stlouis lock I posted about a week ago plus I have found a few copper pennies a couple of them wheaties, glass and some square nails so with all this and the doorknob I'm thinking there had to be an old house or something sitting there at one time so maybe I'm getting better at judging them way out and unusual areas.
There is also a lot of iron in that area forgot to mention I found an old plow point to but I was using my omega the sen 99 the disc 16 with the 3 tones mode ground around the mid 50's.
If anyone has seen the large round thing and/or knows what it is I'd like to know it appears to be lead or some kind of heavy stuff and it's solid no way to bend it.

Yeah I got it posted in a couple other forums to and so far nobody else seems to know either I can't make out any of the detail on the design except it's exactly the same on both sides so just guessing whatever it went in if anything it would most likely be visible on both sides and if it didn't go in anything I haven't a clue as to what it would be for, lol
I'm gonna keep pounding that area and see what else I can come up with if this rain will ever stop long enough.

Here around my house yes I can't get the sen above 50 and even at that it jumps everywhere but there is a small sub-station right up the road.
Now when I get away from here most of the time I can run it at 99 or 90 at the least and it will remain steady.

Hi
I found a duplicate for your item, I do not know where you found yours but mine came from Ottawa, KS, on the site of a former horse barn, I believe this to a decorative piece from a horse bridle I believe they were plated lead, I found some some similar pieces in an old Bannerman's Catalog, my piece is about the size of a silver dollar, let me know if you have found out any thing
