Teknetics, Bounter Hunter and Fisher are all owned by the same company. That company is called First Texas Products. Besides the metal detecting companies, First Texas also owns the Night Owl night vision company.
On the lower end machine they seem to release each design under all three labels with some tweaks for each version. So for instance the BH Platinum is built on the same platform as the Teknetics Omerga and the Fisher F5. The high end machine are usually released under both the Teknetics and Fisher labels with the Fishers usually having a few more bells and whistles than the Teknetics versions of the same platform.
I have a T2 SE and a Delta and they are both well built machines that have great depth for their class of machine. I think the Delta is the best entry level machine on the market now and the T2 is the best relic hunter.
