Second Time Out With The New E-TRAC

Well guys, I think I'm going to like the E-TRAC! The other day we hit a location that's been well hunted but we've never hunted it. I had a nice 12-45 signal and pulled up a 1913 Barber dime. About ten minutes later I had that same signal and it ended up being a 1911 Barber dime. I found a few other clad coins and a marksmanship medal.

Today I spent about 30 minutes at a site within walking distance of my house. II know we've hit it upwards of 60 times if not more. There were occasions when three of us with Xterra 705's were hunting it all at the same time. I walked 10' and found a 1919 wheat! A little while later I pulled up a clad dime. This site isn't very big but I think the difference in technology is what produced a few more coins. I still need to spend some more time there because we've snagged V nickels, barber dimes and a small handful of indians at this location. I even found an 1877 indian there.

I am by no means an expert with the E-TRAC after 3 or 4 times out with it but we're bonding is probably the best way to put it. I think it's going to bring new life to the hobby or at least some of our old sites.

Well I hope to heck you're nowhere around MY area! Whatever you're using for settings seems to be working, just keep at it and let the machine do the work! I had to learn to TRUST before I had prolonged success with my Explorer2,and it's the same with the CTX....I have to trust it. The MACHINE isn't going to fool you,but a TARGET might. Overall,it sounds like you're sliding right into place,a bit of success early on certainly helps to establish that trust. Remember that the X-1 has ALL the functions of the big coil...pinpoint,Auto,Manual,all the sounds, etc. And the X-5 will make listening to separate targets even easier yet,you have a banner season to look forward to in 2017!

Somebody other than me will have to answer that. I don't have a 15" coil for my Xterra.
