Whites TDI Classroom

bonjour,

My name is seb.

I am new on this forum and I live in France, in BORDEAUX
I detect exclusively on the beach (white sand and black) and I wish to buy a TDI.
But which to choose?

The TDI, the TDI PRO or TDI SL!!!

I am lost a little between these 3 detectors, I tested the TDI 1st generation, it is powerful but I think that the TDI pro must be more powerful for the beach.

What a are the differences between TDI PRO and TDI SL!

If you have anywhere near the black sand beaches as they do in Italy then I would go for the TDI-Pro with the 12" Mono.

Alternative fit a CoilTek 12x8" DD Elliptical Platypus coil.

If you chest mount the detector a longer cable is needed in this case I would go for the Razorback 14" Round DD coil.

thank you ivan for your answer, but in Italy it is the Mediterranean and the beaches are very polluted


me I detect on the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, they are not polluted

To me headphones is a personal choice, I choose comfort and usefulness before brand name and price.
I also carry my TDI Pro chest mounted, this to have an influence on what headphones I use.

In hot sunny weather and beach work while wearing full size hat and glasses the lightweight behind neck over the ears are just perfect.
In colder weather when prospecting with larger coils the Uniprobe set is my favourite.
When detecting on sloped wooded areas wireless headphones can be most convenient.

thank you ivan, I like your headphone for the summer.
as I detect with the ocean and that the waves do much noise, I think that I will choose a headphone which covers the ears like your headphone uniprobe

that is there, it finally arrived my TDI PRO and adore it already!!


the batteries are charging and I will want to know the best adjustments for detection on the beach.

You can start with these settings, further adjustment should be done at the specific beach you intend to search.
