Saturday's Hunt- A Couple of Firsts For Me!!

I decided to hunt around where the old train station used to be. Most of the ground has been filled and dozed and the site of the station is a fenced off metal shop. I was very pleased to make the acquaintance of this lovely lady, a 1902 S Barber Quarter on my first dig of the day. Near her was the no date Buffalo Nickle, who looks like he had a hard life, but both were firsts for me. So, naturally, I spent a couple of hours looking for more oldies, but that was about the best I could do. The litlle black beauty is running hot these days! The area is miserable to hunt, with about 10 trash targets per swing. Found a half horseshoe, railroad spike, some mystery metals, and a smushed fountain pen cap, along with the usual suspects. Pics below.

I have a question-- I'm considering selling the two gold rings from earlier this week to put toward an AT Gold :detecting: I know I can sell them to Midwest Refineries for 95% of spot, but they're pretty nice rings, so it seems like they should be worth more than melt. I'm a power seller / top rated seller on eBay, but wonder if you folks have suggestions on where or how to sell for the best price?? Thanks for any advice (I included pics of the two rings, too - they need a bit more polishing up, yet)

Nice digs, Wm Nm!!
I know what you mean about the ring thing. It kills me thinking about selling my rings for melt. That's why I just keep them. It seems a shame to take what someone worked hard to create and just melt it down if you could get a better price and know someone would wear it and enjoy it. I've even given a few away knowing that they would be appreciated and enjoyed, of course, young ladies only!!!

Hey park pirate,
That ring acid tested at 10K, total weight is 17.1 grams. I thought I'd have a jeweler check it. It fits on my pinkie, I'll have the jeweler check the size. I'd rather sell it as a ring, too cool to melt!! It's just stamped Mexico on the inside.
