I went out for a little bit tonight, not expecting too much. I stayed close to home, I actually went over some property that my wife and I bought last year (we are building a new house this summer). It's almost connected to the property we live on now. I have gone over it before, but tonight I was able to get a little closer to the bushes due to it being mowed. Suddenly I get this sweet DEEP whisper of silver. I'm thinkin "Merc...nope, Barber...hmm..HOLY $&*#, a Vickie!!!". It was at least 8 inches deep.

I live in Canada, but most of the very old coins I find here are American. It is very worn, but I made out the date 1891. I am thrilled!
The only other coin I found was a 1976 penny, the year I was born...

Eagle, it's crazy to find stuff that old around these parts. Victoria 1891 is the Canadian equivalent of a seated coin, so I was really happy to find it. Are you from Regina?
