You're really going to like that coil a lot. I got one attached to my Gold Bug Pro and it does a great job sweeping fields for rings and coins.

Good Luck!

Hey, nor10, let us know what you think of the 5X10 DD coil.

I've been keeping the 5" DD on my G2 as I just can't warm up to the big 11+" DD open designed coil. I've been working with the 5X10 DD enough to feel comfortable with it now being my main-use coil on my G2. The 5" DD on the spare lower rod will get more use on my Omega now. :)

From reading your post on many different forums I knew you would be using the G2 soon.

markg,

I have been using the G2 since I got a prototype and wrote a review on this Findmall Teknetics Forum back on October 30th of 2010. Check it out at: http://www.findmall.com/read.php?58,1323572,1323572#msg-1323572 It shows it has had 4648 views as of today, and that's a pretty decent amount of interest. Most of the activity brought posts during the following couple of weeks.

The G2 has been and is in my personal arsenal. I used the 5" DD coil on it the most because I'm not particularly fond of the big open 11" DD. One problem I had was that I really like to swap the 5" coil onto my Omega for many coin hunting tasks that I feel it handles better than the G2 so having the 5" on the spare lower rod is quick to change, if I don't have to first remove it from the G2. I solved that dilemma by going with the 5X10 elliptical DD coil which I have found to work quite well on the G2, and the solid=bottom design eliminates all the snags and issues I had with the 11", and it balances quite nicely.

I have a few detectors I keep in my van that ride along on the back two seats, and the G2 is right next to the Omega. I use the Omega much more than the G2, but the G2 still has it's place in my personal detector battery.
