A very deep very sick target

I hit this Rev War time period Sword in a cut hay field in NY. The parts came out of 6 different holes in a 10' square. My friends and I are thinking French Rapier style sword. The sword was found with two different coils ?? I was testing the new Elliptical against my 11" and had been marking targets with different color flags and then checking all targets with both coils. These are natural finds which is the only way to really test the coils. The elliptical was set to 28 kHz running my normal program and the 11" was running my standard program at 8 kHz. Both programs use discrimination at 6.5. These targets were all at 8-10-11" and super tough targets. I'm holding my opinions for some more testing.

That is just absolutely a great find! I wonder if the guy who originally had the sword was killed by Indians? Man, that sword could go back to when our country was just beginning.

Sick target?
If I read that in a post, I would be expecting horseshoe or something.

What you found is nice and exciting.

Congrats

Is that the only type of elliptical coil XP makes for the Deus . . . a HF elliptical?

As far as I know YES.
The latest released elliptical only one.

Notice battery location on HF coils, different than the LF coils.

It's broken . . . . I mean anyone can find a broken sword but it takes a real detectorist to find one intact . . . . . .:poke:

Seriously . . . that is one impressive find to say the least. Just imagine the last person that touched it and what was taking place as this country was being born . . . .

With finds like those I can see why you do not do parks and beaches

Shows what knowing your detector and using it in the right spot and can uncover . . . congratulations!

Andy
