SMART PLUS:cheekkiss: in Iron

Last week I took the SMART + to a site that had been hunted literally 100s of times. I intentionally took it to an area on that site where there was an old barn at one time. The iron here is beyond description.... from nails to varying pieces of rusted tin. In less than 30 minutes, I was able to pull out 5 non-ferrous targets, none were keepers, but they could have well been. Why had I and everyone else missed these targets before? DeepTechs have the ability to give you a high pitch right next to a ferrous target AND when you go back to find it, it seems to focus in on the target and ignore the adjacent iron. It is crazy if you have never experienced it. The 11" DD is exceptionally good, the Super Six is much better, and the 5.5" coil is unbelieveable.
The iron volume on the SMART + is great, I will start out with the volume wide-open in an area like above, but after about 10 minutes, I start turning it down because of all the ferrous targets. Sometimes, adjusting the volume to where you can verily hear it, works really well. If you turn it off, you will dig what you think is a good target when in reality it is iron. The iron volume will
let you know that sometimes as you pass over a target, the tail end of it will give you a little low tone.. In fact, on a high tone target, I will often turn 90 degrees and listen especially for that low tone or hint of a low tone, coming off the target. It saves a lot of digging.. HH Richard
