A buff, some cheap jewelry and a lot of fun...

After some needed rain went back to an old park for a second try this time with the Mojave looking for jewelry.
I was successful, kinda, but nothing great except for some junkier pieces.
Actually, a gold ring I found was not super cheap plated but a little better than that and marked GF, gold filled, which has to be at least 1/20th gold weight by law and has more gold than plating but if the refineries don't accept it neither do I as a real gold find.
Marked 10k GF ESPO...made by Esposito jewelry which has been around in this country since about 1910 and is known for making quality fashion jewelry but nowadays sells most of their products on QVC.
All of their stuff seems to be pretty tv fancy so this plain band might be pretty old....pre QVC and maybe even more television but I will probably never know.
Better than digging trash no matter what.

A chain I found was not silver as I first hoped but some other metal, it has a magnetic barrel clasp so a word to the wise...don't buy jewelry like this if you want to keep it.

Found a bunch of clad including a little spill with a 1940 nickel and a 1956 wheat in the same hole, gotta be silver and maybe Indians around here somewhere I figure.
All public sites in this city have been scoured for decades but there are still good targets left, I found a nice buff with a unusually sharp date here that I think proves that.

On top of all that I found a Hot Wheels car from 2000 and a cattle tag that is not real great on one side but the other side looks real sharp.
I don't believe there was a whole lot of animals grazing around this site after they made this a park in the 1880's so this thing might be crazy old.

The Mojave proved once again it is every bit as good at finding jewelry as my Compadre, not to mention coins and everything else.
Plus a blast to use for finding treasure.
I bet there is much more and hopefully even better targets at this site, time will tell.

"What if doing the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?”
F70, F2, Compadre, Mojave, Judge2 - 2017....Clad, 15 silver targets including a freaking Barber quarter, a beautiful walker and 4 V nickels...
Plus other cool stuff.
