Rookie user of White's Spectrum XLT - help

Check these settings to see if any have changed by accident. Pre-Amp Gain, Mixed Mode and Audio Disc Off. These last 2 affect Pre-Amp Gain. Too much Pre-Amp Gain causes Overload.

    Ken White passed away.

I started out with the Silver Eagle then bought a XLT Spectrum. Then bought the XLT E-Series. I still swing both of the XLT's. Haven't needed any other detector as the White's work well for me.

    coinmaster 6/db help

Here is an instruction manual PDF from Whites if you didn't get one. In it, it tells you how to ground balance the detector. No sample needed. https://garrett.com/sites/default/files/pdf/2020-12/Coinmaster_6DB_en.pdf Good hunting with your new detector.

    What is this?

I found FRC as Fraternitas Rosae Crucis (Rosicrucians). Can't find your exact medal. They did use the triangle design somewhat. This may not be what you have, though. Here's a website that lists hundreds of organizations for research. http://richhartzog.com/art/society.htm

    White's Electronics Forum?

It's hit or miss on a particular thread having any content in it. However the Wayback Machine is good for finding long ago info from any website, even those that no longer exist.

    White's Electronics Forum?

Here's a link to the Finds Treasure Forums found in the Internet Archive known as the Wayback Machine. A lot of threads have been saved, but not all threads have content. The bots that scan web pages didn't always record the data. At the top of the page is the graph of years recorded. You can...

    White's Electronics Forum?

I started out in the '80s with a Whites Silver Eagle. Then I purchased a Spectrum XLT (still have) after which I upgraded to the E-Series XLT. I love this machine, I understand it and see no need to buy anything else. Thanks to Monte I have learned a lot over the years about the XLT from reading...

Some sort of a dip stick. Perhaps some of it is missing.

    S.A.T

From my XLT Book. Your number range will be different, but the basic use should be the same. 2. S.A.T. Speed Self-Adjusting Threshold (auto-tune) smooths the THRESHOLD, OFF (0), or ON (1-10). Without S.A.T. SPEED (a setting of 0), changes in the ground (and the passage of time) will tend to...
