Old Finds From Last 3 Weekends

Well-known member
All finds shown were found at researched public city parks and old schools the past 3 weekends.
Every Find came from my Minelab eTrac. Coils used were NEL Tornado and NEL Storm.
Old targets ranged from about 5-13 inches deep and came from a number of different sites.
The harder I tried to find older barber coins the more the newer silver kept popping up but I will take them.
Thanks for looking and HH!
Dave

Looks like a good 3 weekends to me. Any silver is good silver. I love going to a public place and pulling silver. Just got a 1902 dime at a public park. Thats the oldest coin so far this year.

Do you notice a big difference in the storm and tornado coils? They are pretty close on sizes. I'm just curious.

Dave,

I see you are tending back back toward your Etrac over the Nox. Did you put enough time on the NOX to have strong opinions? I haven't used mine enough.

Hope to get up your way soon.

Chris

Thanks, the storm and tornado are very good coils. I run both without the coil cover and the storm is built a little stronger and slides over the grass better and is super deep and is great for coverage in larger open areas. I have to watch it with that one though as
it will start to null out on me more in some parks because of its size. The tornado is the coil I use a majority of the time. it is very good on depth and separation and a person cant go wrong with leaving that one on.

Hey Chris, I think I would do well with the NOX if I kept using it. I tend to dig a lot more junk with it so I am not as efficient and the ID at depth and depth guage cant touch eTrac.
The biggest reason is because it does not have a comparable coil to that 12x13 tornado coil with is perfect for the type of hunting I do.
I have used the larger Equinox coil and it just seems kind of bulky for me to use all the time.
James is now mirrored to my exact setup with eTrac and that Tornado coil and is extremely good with it.
I still want to put some time in with the NOX in the future at some of the very pounded sites real close to home when I have time.
Maybe I should use it on some future hunts with James. That would be a good proof of depth in our soil to compare signals with him.
