I just received an email from my friend Desi Dunne that he is very sick in the hospital. Des has been battling Cancer having ups and downs. Many of you know him from his years of working for Minelab and offering countless advice on alot of other brands as well. He is one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing but since he is in Ireland now I feelI may never get to meet him in person. Please say a prayer for him. He is a wonderful person.

Thanks Treasurechic for the information. Yes Desi is a great guy and full of wisdom and knowledge. I wish him well and pray for a speedy recovery

So sorry to hear this..I wish him the best....I remember him from his review of the sovereign video years ago..he explained it very well..

I have conversed with Des several times over the years, and he has always seemed to be both knowledgeable, and a classy gentleman .... as well as just an all-round nice guy.
I wish him the best, and will certainly pray for him.

I seen on the Thomas Dankowski forum that Des passed away!
I never met him personally,but will miss seeing his posts and YouTube videos. 2020 isn't letting up with bad news...

Just corresponded with him a few months ago.


He passed away two days ago. A great man, many of us will miss.

I cant believe this. I have been been so busy lately that this is how I found out he passed away. I mailed him a surprise package with 2 bags of Dunkin Dark Roast coffee as he told me it was his favorite here in the USA. Now he will never get it. We would email back and forth talking about metal detecting and he even sent me a very nice Minelab shirt. He never talked about Family but I hope and pray he was not alone. This really upsets me. gotta go
