99% sure I’m getting an f19

After I saw it hit a 10 inch dime in keith southerns video I was sold. It might take me a few weeks to gather the money but I’ll be hitting lots of iron infested sites once I get it. I would have gotten a time ranger pro but my dealer doesn’t carry them. At first I’ll be using the 11 inch biaxial coil but later I may upgrade to the ultimate 13 and nel snake. Love the made in America 5 year warranty!

You will absolutely love it....especially if you hunt a lot of iron/trashy sites! Nothing quite like it in the iron. Might want to look at the g2+ also for a different layout....same machine with different ergonomics.

Thanks! That is mostly what I hunt. Also, for some reason I prefer the Fisher S shaft to the teknetics shafts.

I can tell you that the box on the F19 is very solid on that shaft. The one on the G2+ tends to sway too easily sideways when plugging/unplugging coil and fiddling with the battery. I've gotten into the habit of holding the control box with one hand before I plug/unplug a coil. The Omega 8000 was the same.

I have to agree with you. Personally, I prefer the rod system with the T2 grip on the Omega, G2 and G2+ models I find the grip to be more comfortable and they just seem to 'handle' better. However ....

Like you stated, the mounting system for the control housing in the grip handle could have been more rugged than it is. One of the problems, along the lines you stated, is the flexing of the control housing, secured in the grip handle with only one small screw. The T2 and F75 use the same grip but don't experience the flexing or twisting motion because they have one button and one knob for adjustments that are more centered on the control face and closer to the center. On the Omega, G2 and G2= you have the tactile switches that are more off to the side of the display.

Pressing those can cause a lot of flexing or twisting. Sometimes the housings have a little snugger fit and don't move as easily, but on a few units I've had or handled, the amount of movement was too much. I had my G2 break/snap on me back in 2015, and I had two Omegas, one of which had a lot more flexing to it and left me concerned about its longevity. I love the rod design and grip, but wish they would make a sturdier control housing and mounting system. It is one thing to check for on a used unit acquisition as some people are rough handlers.

I like both rod setups but lean more towards the pistol grip. I’m not a fan of how the fisher and now this Time Ranger pro are just a bit too short for me but the Tek shafts are perfect.
I really trust the s rod more beating around in the timber, however. Because of instances where I’ve fallen and watched/felt the pistol grip flex a lot. To fix the length problem and to add better cam locks I put my GBP(f19) housing on a Tesoro micromax shaft. To me, it just feels better. The Tesoro rods and angle of the grip are better, especially the lower rod with a large coil attached is less flimsy.

Coinboy, don’t rule out the Time Ranger Pro. It’s the SAME machine. 399. 11x7 coil stock. Can’t beat it. Color scheme is reminiscent of the omega for me.

While I like the Omega and G2 grip and rod design, I I agree with you on that observation. The Bounty Hunter version have the F 19 is more attractive. The first time I saw it, it just look good.

Just wish they would have taken that platform and added a three tone processed audio that would have been good.

I was out to get the Time Ranger Pro myself because of the low price but no one sells it in Canada so I was out of luck. Now that I got a feel for the pistol grip on the G2+, I'm getting to like it a lot. Thumb placement is directly on top of the control buttons.

I hunt parks mostly and just purchased a never used F19 for $375. It has the 5x10 coil on it which I wanted for tot lots. I don't usually dig very deep and I like the stable vdi #'s. I also got a slightly used Nox 600 a month ago and have hunted a field that I found four 1800's coins plus Civil War relics with a At Pro and have found nothing. Disappointed to say the least.

I like AT Pro's a lot. Those who use them keep leaving stuff for me to pick up once they are gone... ;)
What makes me chuckle is when then say they have hunted out a trashy area and there is nothing else to be found. Yeah right !
