Pewter or lead?

Alright so i get home from work and I see some bare ground because of the amazing weather we had today. Well what better place to test a new machine but in the yard of my home built in the 1850's. The ground was virgin when I moved in. Well almost, a guy detected it with a DFX that he obviously didn't know how to setup. I have hit this with Every high priced detector on the market and most every coil you can use with them.
Deus, CTX, all Explorers, Etrac, Nox, Anfibio and some lower end detectors. All many many times over from every angle possible.
I get the Simplex going in park 2. Got a decent signal, sounded pretty good and not deep maybe 4 inches. Numbers jumping a little bit but the tone was good.
Now I go in and get the Anfibio. I have the NEL 5.5 x 9.5 on that but I wasn't swapping it out for the stock coil just for one target. I gotta say the Anfibio disappointed me. I bumped it into 3 tone gain at 89. This is the fastest recovery that machine has. It would hit it but very jumpy and very broken. Dont get me wrong it was a dig me signal but it sounded like there was alot of iron and I could tell it wasn't round. That's good but also bad to me.
I dig down 4 inches and here is what it was.
I didn't bother getting the Nox out.
Now I know for certain the Anfibio kills it on coins and kicks butt in the iron. I like the Anfibio much better in iron than the Nox.
Am I impressed with the Simplex?
Absolutely!!

The rust is a dead giveaway of a pewter. Awesome find. The simplex has been bringing it home for me as well. First silver ring with it yesterday. Amongst other great little keepers the past 2 months.
The Nox changed detecting in a lot of ways, many of us agree. To me, the simplex shook detecting more than the Nox. It’s a little bomb of a detector. I have gained a lot of confidence in it.
I’ve worked an old small yard in park 2 for several hours with the sp24. Now I’m using park 1 and the deeper stuff is coming up. A very fun machine.
Biggest complaint- headphone audio quality is suffering. Apparently with other phones besides Nokta as well.

WTG, Jeff. That is a sweet little machine, and it kicks butt. Wish my wife would have given it more of a chance, but she says it's just too heavy.

I am good with the headphone quality. I also have the Wander and can use whatever headphones or earbuds I want.
I was definitely impressed with it and cant wait for the snow to melt and try it in my test garden.

Do you happen to know what it is? I have the same exact thing. I was thinking spoon handle, not sure, though. I also found with the Simplex, oddly enough.
