Deus remote cover?

Does anyone use a remote cover? Just curious. Watching videos I see most don't use them. I've used them in the past but the remote is built so good it's hard to do too much damage.

I wear mine on my arm, so it is covered. Most of the folks that hunt the woods like I do usually have a cover if they have the remote on the shaft. It is tough as you say but the cover helps prevent scratching.

I have the silicone cover on mine. I keep it in my pocket most of the time, but I’m glad I got it. I have dropped it many times and think the cover has helped protect it. The corners are a bit thicker and seem to absorb impact nicely. It has thicker, harder pieces on the buttons making easier to press. A bit tough to get on but well worth the trouble. Great protection from muddy hands.

I bought the Deano cover. Didn't like the glare...so now it sits collecting dust.

Ive got the same one. Don't like the glare. If the screen was easier to see it would be different but the remote has small print and any glare makes it worse for my eyes.
I have one made in the Ukraine nice covers but a lot of times I put in my pocket

I have two different kinds but never use them. I just can't stand having anything getting in the way--I have big fat fingers. I do have a little elastic thingy that attaches to the shaft to keep me from losing it.

I have my remote in a armband cover. I find it was poorly constructed and I had to have it resewed back together, but it is what I have. I had to put a protect cover even on the control box as it gets dirt in the cover even the way it is.

I second the silicone cover. I bought one after I took my new Deus out a couple times and found cleaning the mud out of the button depressions too tedious. Now, I just give it a once-over with a wet wipe after each hunt, and I don't have to worry about scratches on the screen.

I use a cover on all my detectors . The Deus is an expensive detector, and I tried to keep it looking like new . I also purchased the Deano cover .

My first 2 outings with the ORX were at a sandy beach. Back at home i cleaned all including removing the coil protector cover. That had more sand then what i thought it would.
I have a magnifying glass and inspected rhe key pad. I saw sand stuck in the edges of the round keys. I did not think that there was a gap. So I took a tooth brush and carefully brushed the sand out. I then decided and ordered a cover. What was handy was the black cloth cover with the vinal window. So far that works fine. Last time out and putting the detector away in the truck passager seat I accidentally bumped the detector with my hand. Looking closer i saw the controller was gone! Did i drop it while walking back to the truck? I guessed I dislogged it and it bounced around, out the open door landing on the gravel parking lot. First thought don't move my feet. After looking around and stepping back I saw it under the truck right behind the front tire.
Murpies law I guess. If it can go bad, it will.
I think the protective cover already paid for itself.
Do you guys think the remote comes off the shaft too easily?

Another must have is the small clear buttons that stick to the deus buttons makes turning on the detector so much easier..

I use the Deanos. The glare can be terrible but the cost to replace the remote is more than I want. I think you can buy a new body for it but they too are expensive.
I use the little plastic buttons stuck onto to the Deus buttons. They make it very easy to push the buttons.

Does the Silicone cover allow easier operation of the buttons. What are the stick on buttons and where to get them. As it is now I have to use finger tips to push the buttons to activate.

buy the small buttons off the big auction site they work great!

Pick up the buttons at the hardware store. They are the rubber bumpers for cabinet doors.
