City Dump Finds

Replaced the galvanized water lines under the house with Pex, so I was taking the old pipe to the dump today. The dumpster appears to have been emptied earlier today and the staff ask people to place items near the rear of the dumpster. I placed the old pipe in the dumpster and looked in the existing metal pile and notice a coil for a metal detector. Pulled it out and the whole detector came out with. I take it home put 2, 9 volt batteries in it and it fired right up. not sure of the brand so I looked it up and it a Bounty Hunter Discovery 1100. It's missing the battery cover but Not bad for free!!!

Neat find but personally, I would of left it right where it was 🤣😂😅

Same here…. I detected with a guy that had one some years ago, and he could not find much of anything with it… I got over a Morgan dollar at about 4” deep and his detector would not even give a any response at all to it…..
but heck, at least you did not give anything for it.
