Interesting angled baby spoon

Went to 1804 farmhouse to kill some time before meeting my wife for dinner. Had detected here several times and found many interesting things from KGIII to Nazi coin- probably soldiers souvenir. Only significant find. Today was a most interesting baby spoon. Can’t tell period but there’s a makers mark and appears to be made in France. I buffed it up with a felt wheel on a dremel. Never seen one like it.

Interesting spoon find. Found a good number of spoons myself over the years, but never saw one like that. Would it make feeding the baby from the side easies then regular spoon from the front? HH jim tn

Very cool relic. Congratulations on that piece of history. I guess that idea never caught on.

Could be an aristocrats sipping spoon, cant ya just see the little finger sticking straight up in the air…..😂

My wife who loves it says it’s for baby to hold him or her self considering the way babies hold spoons. She thinks it’s genius. Ever notice they grip it snd awkwardly turn their head to line up with the spoon- the bend avoids that. It’s pretty weighty- I’m thinking it might be bronze or what I’ve heard referred to as red brass- whatever that is.
