For the places you mention the 6” coil would probably suit you better…

I use my 6 when it gets trashy, parks and around old homesites sometimes.

In my mind, if a person is dead serious about learning all there is to know about this machine and using it to its (and your) full potential, a small, stock and large coil are needed.

There’s always that one guy lol. Thanks IDX, I’m still somewhat of a newbie to it all still, but if I follow the same trend as I did with my other detectors, I don’t doubt that I’ll end up with all three before long. Just trying to pick a good jumping in point with the CTX due to cost.
