There’s nothing wrong. My Equinox works like a charm and finds lots of treasures!
Some will never give the Equinox a chance to tell them what’s there. If some don’t get that instant yay or nay they walk away. That’s why many nice old coins are still in beaten-to-death areas. I’m certainly not saying the equinox is the end all “magic wand” but it’s pretty darn close.

Whose talking about Iffy coin signals anyway. It's the signals that Gold uses to trick you. For me , just a little south of the nickel up to and around a corroded penny. Gold as scarce as it is, is what Fattens up the Purse. There are more than a few who have broke 100 gold rings a year (not me) and many were iffy signals.
100 Silvers is something else too, bet many found were mixed in with iron and such and wern't all that sweet sounding.

yes, hit it again with the Deus, and then hunt from another direction and hit it again taking away the good stuff and trash. Then hit it again, listening for deep signals. You are finding good stuff, it is a great site to work really well.

Went back with the XP Deus and found this stuff.
The spoon is sterling
the baggage tag is from the south Florida RR Circa 1880's I do love finding baggage tags
I scratched the buckel ( I hate when I do that it drives me nuts amateur night at the Apollo)

U2 I know how you feel about scratching a "dig". Natural dings from being in the ground are bad enough but dinging the find myself drives me batty. I recently did that to a 1842 seated liberty dime . The coin was pristine before I put a small scratch on it.

eTrac is a great machine I had one the recovery speed is what I like on the Nox especially in trashy areas I've cleaned up very well in spots I hunted with my eTrac and missed some very nice coins that's for sure that the Nox found...And the nox is way better on gold that's for dang sure!
