Remote battery replacement

Quake

Well-known member
Wanting to change out the battery in the remote look's easy to do as per youtube video's,
Question i have is when i unhook my old battery will i loose all my saved programs or not.
I'm leaning as it would going by replacing a car battery and having to program all my
radio station's back in, If anyone who has replaced the battery in there remote and had
custom programs could let me know if they had to reprogram it again.

I am thinking that i was told that you do lose them, and make sure you write them down before you start. Not sure, but i think that is what i was told. My battery is still going strong after about 6 years.

Best to write them down bef.ore you start
Yea i am going to write them down, I have had my remote about 4 years. I was contemplating on changing my battery this winter in my 9" coil and the remote
as sometimes my coil shut's off when im detecting it's a second hand coil. I bought 2 batteries and wanted to replace both the remote and coil one's.
I have no clue how to keep these 2 batteries charged from sitting and not being used besides putting them in the coil and remote.

Targits....where do you get your batteries? I found them on Aliexpress, but they
only sell minimum lot of 8 for $50. I'll be 83 tomorrow, don't think I'll need 8 of
them. If I do decide to spring for the lot the good news is the coil, remote, and
ws4 all take the same battery. (E&J 742045).

presumably the settings will be on the headphones or remote control so they will reload em when you change 1 or the other so long as u dont do both of em at the same time
