Is this a time to buy a used detector

I have a feeling the market is going to be flooded with used detectors real soon. To be honest, the Equinox absolutely ruined the used detector market. It use to be you could sell a used detector for close to what you paid for it. Not anymore! There are some proven detectors that people will be "giving" away. I would not hesitate to get one of these super bargains.
Wait until those detectors are in circulation. You will be able to get a steal. Sellers get desperate wanting to sell so they can get a new release.

I used to think it was stupid to make coins with some ferrous material. After seeing that coin laden magnet, I might be changing my mind. Were all those coins from one toss into the water?
