Back to friends back yard….

Decided with the cold weather flowing in I had better get into that backyard. The house was moved from its construction site at an unknown date (probably the 40s) to where it sits now. Moved about 100-150’ and a dirt hill in front of it was shoved into a low area which is now the front yard. If there were nearly 40 wheats (mostly teen thru 40s) a couple silvers and the V nickel in that yard could you imagine what might have been around the original house???
Nothing. All I found in the tons of trash was one 2009 Quarter and one 1957 penny. I did tho find one interesting relic!!!! Figure this has to be 60s or earlier. There is a seam line down the barrel, through the top strap and down to the heel of the grip so guessing potmetal.

Found out last night that his Mom found a gun buried in the garden (back in the 70s). Neighbor at the time was retired OR police officer who confirmed it was a toy gun. Neither my friend or his siblings remembers what happened to it so she may have put it back. From pictures I can find on the net we’re thinking its 50s era. But yeah, a bit of an initial adrenaline rush.
