So with the temps at teens and too much snow to do much of anything I decided it was time to recheck the finds pile of misc and make sure I wasn’t junking anything good. Yup.

Got an inexpensive testing kit for silver and gold off of Amazon a month or so ago. Have one ring that could be silver but leaning towards not cuz the little bit of discoloration on the surface not blackish, been in the pile for awhile. So, read the instructions and did as implied. Test indicates 925!!!!
There is absolutely no marks on this ring so figured homemade. I also got one of the jewelry cleaners that cleans ultrasonically so since it had a tiny bit of crud on the inside that didnt clean otherwise then might as well break this contraption in too. Well I be darned, the tinniest tiniest little 925 I’ve ever seen is now visible under 30x loupe.
Always check…….(mark so small I cant get pic on phone).

It’s amazing that they can print that small and not get it melded together, unless it is stamped.
I use 30 on jewelry too, it helps.

For sure this is the smallest markings I’ve ever found. If it hadn’t been for the home test kit (no, I’m not pregnant nor do I have Covid) and the cleaning machine it might have stayed in the junk pile. Now for that ugly 24k ring……..
