Deus ll question ?

Markinspa-

Good question: I’ve been using the Deus (I) since November 2019, so just over 2 years. However in the short 2 years using the a Deus I have found more quality civil war relics ( bullets, buttons, coins, etc) then in my previous 3 plus years using my then Nox 800.

I can not comment on parks as I exclusively civil war and colonial relic hunt in highly mineralized soil in Virginia where I live/hunt. My Deus (I) sniffed out 5 Confederate buttons in the last 2 years that my Nox 800 missed in heavy iron. The site we hunt has been pounded over the years but the Deus is killer on iron and the depth is incredible. Last year I dug an 1835 cap bust Dime at 12 inches down that only gave a mere whisper no VDI.

There is a bit of a learning curve but it is by far the best detector on the planet at the moment. I have actually ordered the Deus II, and based upon early reviews of the Deus II from Calabash and others I am sure the Deus II will soon replace my Deus I. You will not be disappointed with the Deus. Happy Hunting and hope these posts help you in your decision making to purchase the Deus.

I have actually ordered the Deus II, and based upon early reviews of the Deus II from Calabash and others, I am quite confident the Deus II will soon replace my Deus I. You will not be disappointed with the Deus. Happy Hunting and hope these posts help you in your decision making process to purchase the Deus Beast.

Coinworld. Thank you for your input. Good hunting, Mark

Ok , Go look at YouTube of the people across the pond who have already got theirs....What are they saying? I don't work for XP they sent me ONE detector to test and they SOLD me three more straight from France....... Bought and paid for...That alone should tell you something....When you see me using a machine to chase relics that too should tell you something ....
Everyone "knows" (read ASSUMES) that all youtube "stars" are simply paid shills for whatever products they like and declare to be good. Everybody "knows" the Hoover Boys are paid by Garrett, Calabash is bought out by Deus etc etc. Do we absolutely know this for certain? Has anyone ever provided any proof? Check stubs, screen shots, any smoking gun? No, but everyone "just knows" "the truth". Are such things in the realm of possibility? Sure. Is it likely? Maybe. But without any verifiable proof, what you have is just jealousy and ego speaking. In other words, typical human behavior and you're never going to avoid it. Its all par for the course, so dont sweat it too hard.

DEUS II FINDS......

I don't hunt relics, but find an occasional 3 ringer while prospecting, they usually end up in my melting pot, I did keep the one below its different than most people find. I do hunt parks, I have owned detectors since getting out of the Army (1975). Ive had whites, garretts, fishers, compass, minelabs and of course the deus1. I sold the nox 800 after using it for 3 years, I could not get rid of the chatter, it would sound like a machine gun going over the mineralization and small bits of aluminum. I dug plenty of pull tabs and twist caps. With the deus, I do not use "Full" tones, nor did I use it on the nox, the full tones drive me crazy. I normally use 4 tones and am happy. I dig a lot less trash with the deus that I did with any other machine, the aluminum has a ghostly sound, coins are a solid sound.

The orginal question was about a depth guage, the deus1 does not have one, but sound is the key, loud distinct ,it is near the surface, faint it is deep. If it is a repeatable, solid target, dig it.

I don’t know if the Deus II is some kind of super detector or not but when there’s only one cheerleader it kind of reminds me of the traveling medicine shows of days gone by selling miracle cures..Saying everything else is crap only adds to my skepticism.

There's nothing wrong with it - but remember Calabash is getting paid by YOUTUBE - for posting those videos with commercials...depending on the views there's a very nice income to be made!
After XP squashed his "thousands are on a plane to the US as we speak" garbage this clown is just making up nonsense for hits and to stroke his ego

SO WHAT ! Even if he is getting compensated. What wrong with that ? Last time I checked it was ok to like getting paid. He may have been given one machine, but he ponied up almost 5 grand of his money to test a new untested machine. How many of you out there are willing to do this ? And then all the work it takes to make videos, he could have used it for his own enjoyment and none of us would know how the machine performs in different scenarios. Never mind he is doing what he loves, its still a ton of work to edit and put those videos together. You guys ought to cut him a little slack. If you watched any of his videos in the past he has always been a straight shooter so I see no reason why to doubt him now. And don't say because XP gave him a machine, unlike other companies that had NDAs, there were none with the DEUS ll and I'm sure XP was aware of Calabash's pension for telling like it is and they still sent him one. Whats that say ? We as mdrs are always congratulating others on our finds, a family so to speak, so why when a fellow detectorist goes out of his way to inform us on a new machine we view him with suspicion ? Instead of thanking him and wishing him success. Really ! Mark

Excellent work. I've seen some primers... Congratulations

Dude lied and said thousands of units are on a plane to the US yet XP basically called him out and said it was wishful thinking (none even shipped yet and dealers will be lucky to see 1-3 and that was straight from XP). I'm sorry but if someone is going to make up bogus garbage like that then I don't believe much of anything he says. Calabash is nothing more than a used car salesman.
