Is it true?

I read somewhere Minelab no longer supports the E-trac. Is that true? If so, what exactly does it mean? The reason I ask is because I was thinking of buying a used one. However, if Minelab will no longer repair them, I could be spending hundreds on a potential paperweight, if it ever fails me.

I owned an E-trac, but no longer have it. About 30-something of my hunts are still on YouTube under OhioCoinHunter. The last hunt was 10 years ago. But I know what an awesome machine the E-trac is.

My old one did crap out on me and I had to send it in. Minelab repaired it. Great experience. But if they no longer support this model, nah, I probably won't buy another one. I'll wait for the new improved model, which should be awesome.

Thanks for responding. Happy Hunting

I'm planning on posting mine this evening that I've only used about three times. It is in excellent, like new condition and will post several pics. The machine pretty much looks like it just came out of the box. If you like to see it first I can PM them your way. The only reason for selling it is that I just don't use it.

I'll probably be listing mine with 2 coils as well. The weight doesn't bother me but I'm needing a submersible smf. It won't be a nox because I want it to be waterproof..

Oh SNAP!🤣🤣🤣

Minelab's website states they support their products for at least 5 years after they are discontinued. I don't think their site is up to date because they do not list the E-Trac as discontinued yet. If I recall they were discontinued a year or so ago so even the ones sold within the past 3 years would still be under warranty. If you're considering picking one up it might be worth giving them a call.
