Beware of the XP update.

I did it and so have others, and there has been a significant loss of depth for some. As of now there isn't anything we can do to get back the original version without the larger vdi numbers. Extremely disappointing because I had a beach hunt scheduled for Friday morning. Some users are reporting up to a 6" loss of depth and others have reported the D2 can't hit a gold ring.

OH NO----and I was thinking about getting a D2 now that they had updated to the large TID #s.----I'm thankful I've got my old reliable D1.----I hope they can get this problem ironed out quickly for you guys.------You can't revert back to the original version?---That's strange!

Ya the larger vdi numbers are great. However, it doesn't do you any good with the loss of depth.

And no, currently there isn't a way to revert back to the original.

Sooo glad I held off on the bad update. I’d be surprised if a fix version didn’t quickly come out - at least the original version V 0.6
Between this and the 9” shortage XP had some splaining to do.

Go back to the original horseshoe config and check your depth.

I hope not!…..I was planning on hunting this weekend…….If these results are true, I’m sure Xp won’t let that slide.

Is there a 0.05 I believe in my Deus 2 has that and it’s actually not the greatest sounding tone wise a lot of the signals are very “crunchy” sounding not real nice clear tones I spent a couple hours yesterday found some relics skeleton key old flat button and musket ball.

That's what I was wondering. Anyone check the depth when going back to the regular configuration? I did the update but haven't hunted since doing so. I have the new update saved on two programs, but they can be easily deleted.

I read and copied this quote from Gary Blackwell
"there are no bug fixes as such in this update, just the new TID screen for you guys to test."

I just went out to my garden to see if I could tell any difference and everything is the same for me.
Deep High Conductor is still the best on my deeper coins as far as audio report and accurate ID. Beach is very close.
If it wasn't for Deep HC I'd be getting rid of the Deus II. The rest of the programs are useless on deeper coins as far as I am concerned because of inaccurate ID.

I think I'm going to reload again and see what happens. Glad yours is good to go.
