Double Down on the coppers

Sandy and I hit a new site with the Equinox's today and pulled 9 cents for a total. 1855 large cent and a Montreal bank token, 2 Indians and a V nickel. 2 coppers are unheard in our neck of the woods. the iron was thick, so we settled on park one, recovery 6. Lots of harmonicas and pocketknives, just an observation. Hoping for some civil war items but none to be had today. My favorite artifact was the whizzer made from an old pocket watch. Sandies 88 Indian was the nicest coin!

You look to be on a really nice site! That bank token is really cool! I dug one of those "bank tokens" once, also -- I believe it was 1/2 penny denomination, and said "Bank of Upper Canada" on it.

Funny where they show up, I found an Upper penny several years ago. This Montreal is a bit older. Thanks Steve!

Great find. There was so much trading between the USA and Canada going on at one point. It's interesting to find coins from both sides of the border.
