Went to a school that I have hunted with the equinox 600 2 times and got 8.21 clad, ring and a locket but they are not real. The school is trashy used the f75 with the small coil.

The F75 with factory 5” or a Sharpshooter coil is pretty deadly in trashy or “hunted out” sites. I think too many rookies show up with too big a coil and call it cleared out. Nice finds!!!

John71, Congrstulations, and 'thank you' for answering the coil question I was about to ask with regatd to "small coil".

I have both Fisher "small coils" on-hand. I keep the 3.5X6.5 Concentric mounted on my F75+ all the time for a quick grab-and-go set up mainly for Coin Hunting typical sites. I also have a new 5" DD along in my accessory box with the Headphones and Pinpointer I like to use. The 5" DD is mainly for Relic Hunting locations with an abundance of Iron Nails.

I have a also have the 5D coil but like the concentric coil better. Does better in the trash and gets better depth. Found a lot of good stuff with that coil.

When working in very dense Iron Nails, the 5" DD handles them a bit better than the 3.5X6.5 Concentric, but I enjoy the small elliptical more for modern-litter sites, and it does get slightly improved depth in less trashy places. That coil and my F75+ are mainly used for urban Coin Hunying needs. The 5" DD is mainly a back-up coil as I have other detectors w/5" DD's attached for ferrous-challenged Relic Hunting tasks.

You nailed it ! In trashy sites, a small coil is THE secret weapon.

That's a great looking ring !

Even if the ring is costume jewelry, if it has a maker's mark inside the band, look it up, you may still have a good one. Some of the costume stuff still commands a nice value. $8.21 is a lot of clad!
