I owned 3 Vanquish 540 Pro Packs and an Equinox 800 with both the 11" and 6" coils.. They are OK detectors for for some applications, and if anyone likes them and uses them and enjoy them, that's fine with me. But mine are all gone and I don't plan on getting another Bing another.
I'll be 73 in less than 2 weeks, and I don't mind learning a detector if it is something that appeals to me, but I also know that the detectors in my outfit do a do a terrific job for their application choice be it coin hunting an urban area or real accounting an old site that has a lot of iron debris. I've had probably 6 of the different T2 models since they came out in 2006, comma but I let my last one go, a T2+, and the guy only wanted it with a 5" Double D coil so I so I still have a brand new NEL superfly in the box that's new that I need to part with

The mind lab equinox models are good good, they're just not good for me so, like you, there won't be another. I enjoy using my current primary models which include an F75+, Apex, XLT, Silver Sabre microMAX, Racer, FORS CoRe, FORS Relic and Bandido II microMAX.

I just aquired to XP Orx machines one for me one for girlfriend and can say they are very impressive machines while not multi-freq I prefer them to the 800.
For just general coin hunting I prefer my Teknetics 8000 v6 or v4.

I am about to turn 73 and do not mind learning a new detector IF it appears to match or better what I use.
Smart phones? I am using mine right now but do not understand all of what they can do. Besides. They are not so smart or educated. You push the microphone button and talk into them into them and they don't hear everything you say because they type incorrect words, or they miss spell words, or they will type a word or a whole sentence 2 times even though you only say it once.
I got a Teknegics Omega 8000 version 4 in April of 2010. Until the fall of of 2015, it was my favorite urban coin hunter to grab. They messed up the Dis. on the Ver. 5 & 6 and I had to track down another V.4 that I enjoyed with the round 7" Concentric coil.
There are a lot of very good detectors out there for most of us that can perform well and many 'newer' offerings are not really better for our needs.
