Course now I need to know what this is I found in a field. The arrow is pointing out a curved slot. Thanks for any help figuring out the history mystery of this field.

Now, how old would that be?

WOWZA! Awesome MuddyMo & trojdor.. It's the curved slot that just felt recognizable... Thank you for making the connection!

Search says late 19th century metal stamping tech evolved into industrial use, so age of clock is anywhere between ~5 to 122 years old. Anybody see any clues this clock is greater that 50 yrs? 75 years? someone needs to put a stop to me searching for images of the back of a clock!!!

I'll be no help as I thought it looked like a tractor seat but I am very curious too

Perhaps the quickest way to your answer might be to see if there is an old clock collector or club in your area. The are collector clubs for just about anything…..

Maybe take some steel wool and go over it and see if you can find some writing.
Could be a makers trade mark on it under that crud.
