Tn sharpshooter did a video and said 2 tone worked the best for deeper clearer signal.Hope this helps.

I do at the beach with no discrimination! I get better information & can hear the iron & iffiness in a suspected junk signal….I know one thing for sure, I come home with very little bottle caps now using full tone.

I do otherwise im staring at the screen the whole time im swinging. I notice I seem to get more targets with the D2 as it is very sensitive to metal and I cover less ground (but its a good thing) I would be swinging a lot slower if I were at 2 tones and staring at the screen. I am still getting used to it. I love it though.

Sensitive FT is my preferred program in most places. Very intuitive

I liked FT on D1- on D2 not so, here I prefer the sound as you have it in factory program 4 (pitch with square tone).

Didn’t like the FT on the D2 version 6.
Rather use 4 tones or beach P in square pitch.

I’ve heard FT not the same after updates.
