I just got this and the speaker doesn't work, you can bareley hear it, called Minelab and after a day they still haven' t returned my call, I'm still waiting for an email also.
the headphones work, but not speaker,,,not a happy camper.

I assume you checked the volume level, and set it accordingly.
And Minelab will probably first recommend a factory reset. (It's in the manual.)
So I'd do that.

Here's something you might try....it's a long shot...
Try unscrewing the usb port's black plastic protective 'waterproof' cover.

I've never seen it work in person, but I've heard that opening the USB port can equalize any pressure differential at the back of the speaker.
In theory, a pressure differential between the ambient pressure, and the waterproof controller can put a load on one side of the speaker that will drastically lowers it's operating volume.

It's worth a try, and doesn't cost anything.

As Mike said above….factory reset it. Read the manual which is available online CAREFULLY in the “Volumes” section. I’m not saying “never” but this is likely a setting issue.

Also…are you saying you can barely hear the threshold hum or targets as you sweep them?

And as you said….it is BRAND NEW? You paid close to 2k for this machine from a dealer? You’re the first and only owner?

I did all those those things, everything else works the wireless , the head phones, all work but when turn it on you can just barely hear the little tune it plays, I can use it the way it is but i hope I don't have to send it to minelab i don't know how long something like that take, well I go on vacation in a couple months It should be fixed by then.
thanks for your help.

did you have it immersed in water? If so wait a day or two to dry out.

I’d just open it up and see what’s going on. It’s just a speaker. The electronics work because your headphones work.
