That is a really nice find I love to find stuff like that.
Have you tried imprinting it on some colored wax or something like that?

Can you tell what it is made of? If it was in a fire, it might have been "branded" by a V nickel.
I think it’s steel. A magnet will not stick to it. It’s not lead or brass. I don’t think the fire got hot enough to be branded by a V nickel. Die/stamp was cut off the rod.
Found in a very old park with the Deus2. I.D. 74-75
